Lisa Minor

MA, LCSW; Mental Health Therapist. Taking on new clients and specializes in working with adults as a trauma informed counselor.

Lisa is a warm and compassionate counselor dedicated to helping people of all ages — including individuals, couples, and families — navigate life’s challenges with hope and resilience. With extensive training in trauma-informed care and years of experience walking alongside those in difficult seasons, she offers a safe and supportive space for healing. As an ordained pastor, she can integrate faith into the counseling process to meet each person where they are, honoring their values and beliefs. Her goal is for every client to leave sessions feeling more equipped, encouraged, and confident that they don’t have to face their struggles alone.

Jordan Kruse

National certified counselor, K-12 certified school counselor, and an LPC-Supervisee. Works with children, families, and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Currently accepting new clients. Does not take Medicaid at this time.

Jordan Kruse brings a unique blend of experience both as a mental health therapist and as a school counselor. He enjoys working with individuals ranging from middle school through adulthood.  He strives to create a space where each person feels valued, heard, and truly seen.  Jordan’s approach often considers family systems, recognizing how deeply our relationships shape who we are and how we grow.  Jordan is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, supporting engaged and married couples as they build stronger, healthier relationships.  Jordan says at the core of his work is his faith, which provides the foundation, direction, and purpose for his life and the care he gives to others.

Bobbi Trumbull

As a Master of Social Work (MSW) student with a deep passion for the stories of individuals, Bobbi brings compassion for others and a commitment to meet each person exactly where they are. Her experience volunteering with children, youth, and young adults has shaped her ability to create safe, non-judgmental spaces where individuals can be fully seen, heard, and supported.

Bobbi’s approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a sincere desire to empower others to grow, heal, and embrace change. A follower of Jesus, her faith informs her belief in the inherent worth of every person and guides her in offering grace-filled, hope-driven care. She is passionate about equipping people with practical, lifelong skills to navigate their unique journeys with dignity and resilience.

Outside of her academic and clinical work, Bobbi serves as a worship leader and finds joy in nurturing community through her roles as a mother, wife, friend, and mentor. These life experiences enrich the compassionate, relational lens she brings to her practice, always striving to honor each person’s story and potential.

Bobbi is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. She is serving as an intern under the supervision of Krysta Winter, MS, LPC-MH, QMHP.

Krysta Winter

MS, LPC-MH, QMHP. Clinical Director; Mental Health Therapist. Krysta shines her bright light at Breakthrough as staff leader. She is currently not taking on new clients.

Krysta has been a therapist since 2012 and is a South Dakota Board Approved Counseling supervisor, Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and Certified Christian Addiction Coach. She brings a depth of clinical and spiritual knowledge to each session. Krysta approaches sessions with warmth and enthusiasm as she shows clients how God designed the brain to heal. She specializes in working with teens, and loves empowering them with knowledge of their brain’s complex development at this stage. She creates a welcoming environment for healing, incorporating art, games, and humor into sessions to engage even those who may be reluctant to try therapy. Her holistic approach includes working with parents, giving them Christ-centered tools to build attachment and adjust family systems for long-lasting healing.

Steve Van’t Hul

Educator

Steve started at Breakthrough in Fall 2022 assisting in the Education section. Steve enjoys helping students and getting to know them better. A goal each day is to keep God at the center of everything we do and to help the students see Christ working in their lives. In his off time Steve enjoys spending time with family, friends, and being outdoors. Overall, Life and God are GOOD!
